This post was updated on July 14, 2017.
We’re thrilled to announce that you can now manage tasks on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch! Read on to hear more about our new MeisterTask mobile app for iOS, and our brand new Apple Watch functionality.

MeisterTask on iPhone and iPad
Our new mobile app for iOS is a perfect companion or even alternative to MeisterTask’s web app. Basically, everything you can do in MeisterTask’s online version you can also do on your iPhone or iPad: set up projects, manage tasks, upload images, leave comments and collaborate with your colleagues in real-time. Of course, all changes you make in the app are instantly visible across all devices.
The app consists of three basic parts: One, the dashboard, which quickly brings you up to speed on all goings-on in your projects; two, the Kanban-style project boards, which can be shared with an unlimited number of collaborators and ensure that everyone in your team is on the same page at all times; three, the task dialogs, which offer space for all task-relevant information from due dates to comments. Take a look at our short tutorial video to see the app in action!
MeisterTask on Apple Watch
Update 16th March 2017: Please note that the functionality of MeisterTask for the Apple Watch has changed significantly and that creating new tasks on the Watch is no longer possible.
Already included in this first version of MeisterTask for iOS is our extremely handy Apple Watch functionality. Here’s what you can do with a few quick taps and swipes:
- Receive notifications about updates of your tasks
- Immediately respond to notifications, either via voice-input, with a Like, or through pre-defined messages like “Awesome”, “I’ll look into it” and “Thank you”
- Create new tasks
- Assign tasks
- Add tasks to your Focus column
- Complete tasks
MeisterTask for iOS is free. Just download the app, log in with your account details and start being productive while you’re on the go!
So looking forward to the Android version. When can we expect it?
Hi Rico!
We\’re looking into an Android app but there\’s no ETA yet, I\’m afraid. For now, we\’ve optimized the browser version as much as possible – have you tried it on your phone?
Yes, using the browser version every day and it is actually very good, my compliments. However, a native app version would put you ahead of the competition in my book 🙂
Thanks for a great concept anyway. Love your work
I have to agree. Would love a native app for my Android. My iPhone is for work, and would prefer to not get too personal on it…
Well Done!..
but, when more tools for Team Management?, like reports or ways to review the tasks of others… Time Tracking is good, but it\’s necessary to sum for control it..
Another thing, I tried to modify some project in meistertask but don\’t refresh my mind map?, that way doesn\’t work?
Congratulations, and very good work!
Hi Jose,
Thanks very much for your feedback. There are definitely more (and more powerful) features for team management coming, we\’ll keep you posted!
Regarding the synchronization between MindMeister and MeisterTask, you can check out this blog post here for more info: https://www.meistertask.com/blog/2015/04/01/task-synchronization-between-mindmeister-meistertask/
Hope that helps!
Bump for android – web version is decent but off line it\’s a no go – come on guys !!!
Agree, I\’m also mostly interested in offline modes. Hate that i.e. with confluence. I think when I think, and that might well be when I\’m offline.
And no Android version is just … silly.
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for your feedback, we do appreciate your honesty and understand where you\’re coming from. Regarding the Android app: It\’s not like we don\’t want one or consciously decided to just ignore Android users. We\’ve been working on the first Android version for a while now, it\’s just that we\’re lacking the resources to throw everything out at once. We do hope to release it fairly soon, though, so we hope you\’ll bear with us just a little longer!
Hi Florien,
Hearing that your making progress, and that we can expect an android version in the near future is encouraging. I\’ve been hoping to implement this at work, but really do need the android app to make it effective. Thanks again for an update.
Hi Nick,
We just heard back from our Android team – the first version should be out within the next 2-3 weeks.
Thank you for bearing with us!
Great news, just in time for Christmas o/
I know how these things go believe me, but just curious if you have an idea how close you are now? Just wanted to bump the updates. Thanks! I\’m totally in love with the app so far!
Hi William, our Android beta should start within the next two weeks. If you haven\’t done it yet, you\’re very welcome to sign up as a beta tester: http://bit.ly/21IHgVH Thanks for your patience!
So glad I just checked back! Just signed up, thanks!
Does this have an app for Macbook so you dont have to view it in a web browser? And can you input offline (e.g. on commute) and it will synch when you reconnect?
Hi there,
Our Mac app just went into open beta. If you\’d like to give it a try, you can download the app here: https://www.meistertask.com/apps
The app has no offline capabilities at this point, it is basically a wrapper with a dock icon and notifications.
I installed your app for Apple Watch. It doesn’t work at all. Completely useless. Couldn’t even create a new task and view my projects.
Hi Volodymyr, we’re very sorry to hear you’re having troubles with the Apple Watch app. Our mobile development team would be happy to take a closer look at this right away – could you maybe write to [email protected] and give them some more details? Many thanks!
I think I created a ticket with a screenshot. Did you receive it?
If you sent the email to [email protected] I’m sure the team will have received it and will answer you shortly via email!
Hi, when will the Apple Watch Meistertask App be functional (again)? Would be a great help. And note: the Omnifocus and ToDoist Apps just work fine… Many thanks!
Hi Jan, it would be great if you could contact our support team and let them know exactly what isn’t working for you, so they can let the developers know. You can use this form to get in touch with them: https://support.meistertask.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
