More good news from the MeisterTask team: Only days after releasing our amazing Pro plan (think: unlimited integrations, Section Actions, premium support and more), we’re ready with another highly anticipated feature:
The iCal Feed
An iCal Feed enables applications like MeisterTask to send date and time-based data to an external calendar application, such as Google Calendar, Outlook or ThunderBird. The introduction of our iCal Feed for MeisterTask means that now all your tasks will be automatically displayed in your favorite calendar app, as all tasks with a due date will be synced to your calendar!
Where to find the feed:
Go to MeisterTask, click on your avatar in the upper right corner of your screen and open Settings.
At the bottom of the Notifications tab, you’ll see a grey field with the iCal URL. Copy this URL to your clipboard with CMD+C (Mac) or CTRL+C (Windows), depending on the computer you’re using.
How to subscribe to the feed:
The procedure is a bit different for every calendar application, but we’ll use Google Calendar as an example to show you the basic principle:
Go to the main page of your Google Calendar. Click on the little grey arrow next to ‘Other Calendars‘ on the left side of the screen. This opens the sub menu.
Select ‘Add by URL‘ from the sub menu and paste the link from your clipboard into the empty field using CMD+V i.e. CTRL+V. Finally, click ‘Add Calendar‘.
And that’s it! You should now see all tasks with an assigned due date as events in your calendar. A link to the original task in MeisterTask is automatically added in the event description so that you’re able to click through for further details.
So there’s how to set-up the iCal integration and sync tasks to calendar with MeisterTask. If you have any questions or comments, just share them with us in the comments below!

I almost didn\’t find it as I confused account settings with the other settings with a gear icon. NVM. Thanks for this feature!
Glad you found it in the end. We\’ll look into making this more clear somehow!
Hey ! Thanks for this amazing feature.
Google Calendar synced my old tasks with due
dates but when I create a new one there\’s no sync.
Can you help me ? 🙂
The sync interval actually depends on the calendar you use, not MeisterTask. As far as I know Google Calendar automatically updates its feeds \”every few hours\”, but it can take up to 24 hours sometimes.
Hope that helps!
Hey! Thanks this is a useful feature. But it lacks clarity. Here are my questions:
– Task are labelled in Google Calendar as \”Meistertask….\”. It does not even mention the name of the project it is related to. Is there a way I can make each event/task labelled in a clearer way (name of the project, different colors for each project)
– Some phases of the project are not just tasks to be done on a specific day but are expected to take longer. Is there a way we can specify the expected length of the task (\”from…to…\” – instead of only a \”due date\”). This would allow having projects/task appear as a Gantt diagram in the calendar and would be really helpful.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. You\’re right that this feature definitely has room for improvement. We\’ve added your suggestions to our feature request list and will try to incorporate them as best we can!
The date should update automatically the next time Google Calendar syncs. This can take some time (probably up to 24 hours). Are you sure the dates didn\’t update at all?
yeah same issue… 24 hours to update the syncs : ( that seem a little long …
Unfortunately, that isn\’t up to us, but Google. We\’re looking into a real Google Calendar integration, though, and that should hopefully solve this problem!
Wonderful! It syncs with Google calendar in my Windows laptop. However, it didn\’t in my iPhone 4S.
Hi Manny, we\’ll look into this, thanks for letting us know!
Hi Dominik, our team is looking into ways to improve the iCal feed and possibly remove the prefix. We\’ll keep you posted!
This is great, but can you sync just one project and not another?
Hi Sophie, that’s currently not possible via the iCal feed, but you should be able to accomplish it using IFTTT or Zapier! In Zapier for instance, you can create a Zap that turns tasks from a specific project or even a specific section into Calendar events. Just head on over to https://zapier.com/, create an account, and then set up a new zap for MeisterTask and Google Calendar!
Could you pls inform me how to sync with iPhone SE calendar?
